Wat Doi Koeng Attractions in Mae Hong Son Mae Sariang, Mae Sariang, Mae Hong Son. Wat Doi Koeng, a public temple of the Maha Nikaya sect, was officially established as a temple in 1942 (B.E. 2485) and granted the Wisungkhamsima royal consecration boundary in 1994 (B.E. 2537).
Originally abandoned and without resident monks or novices, the village committee invited Phra Rat Rattanayano to assume the position of abbot. Since 1977 (B.E. 2520), he has overseen the administration and management of the temple. Currently, Phra Rat Rattanayano holds the ecclesiastical title of Phra Khru Anuson Prachathorn and continues to care for Wat Doi Koeng to this day.
