Wat Khon Phueng Attractions in Mae Hong Son Mae Khatuan, Sop Moei, Mae Hong Son. The temple belongs to the Maha Nikaya sect and occupies a plot of land measuring 11 rai, 1 ngan, and 85 square wah.
The boundaries of the temple are approximately 3 sen to the north, 3 sen to the south, bordering a village, and 3 sen 10 wa to the east, bordering a public road. The temple's structures include monks' quarters (kuti), a sermon hall (sala kan prian), an ordination hall (ubosot), and a stupa.
Wat Khon Phueng was established in 1940 (B.E. 2483). Initially, it was an abandoned temple, but local villagers worked together to restore and rebuild it. They invited Phra Wanna from Wat Pha Pha to reside at the temple.
In terms of administration and governance, the known abbots are Phra Wanna, who served from 1976 to 1983 (B.E. 2519–2526), and Phra Bunphan, who has served since 1983 (B.E. 2526). Phra Bunphan was granted the ecclesiastical title Phra Khru Anusorn Silakhan on January 25, 1999 (B.E. 2542).
