Wat Thung Laeng Attractions in Mae Hong Son Mae Khong, Mae Sariang, Mae Hong Son. Wat Thung Laeng, affiliated with the Mahanikaya sect, is situated on a land area of 3 rai, 4 ngan, and 48.9 square wah. The temple was authorized for establishment in 2452 BE (1909 CE) and received its Royal Act of Boundary Designation (Wisungkhama Sima) in 2538 BE (1995 CE). The current abbot is Phra Khru Anusarn Dhammakittith Sutthajitto.
Wat Thung Laeng was established in 2453 BE (1910 CE) and is highly significant to the local community in Ban Thung Laeng. It serves as a spiritual anchor and hosts important Buddhist ceremonies and cultural traditions in the Mae Khong Subdistrict. Currently, Phra Khru Anusarn Dhammakittith is the abbot of Wat Thung Laeng.
The temple's buildings include: 1. The ordination hall (ubosot), 2. The vihara, 3. The monks' residences (kuti), 4. The sermon hall (sala), 5. The multipurpose hall, 6. The bell tower, 7. The belfry, and 8. The kitchen. The temple's sacred objects include: 1. The Buddha statue, 2. The stupa (chedi), and 3. Relics of the Buddha (Buddha's relics).
