Wat Ammarawat Attractions in Mae Hong Son Ban Kat, Mae Sariang, Mae Hong Son. Wat Ammarawat, affiliated with the Mahanikaya sect, is situated on a land area of 7 rai, 3 ngan, and 32 square wah.
The boundaries of the land are as follows: to the north, approximately 2 sen, 7 wa, and 4 sok, bordering private land; to the east, approximately 3 sen, 2 wa, and 2 sok, bordering a public road; and to the west, approximately 2 sen and 13 wa, bordering Mae Sariang Road.
The temple structures include an ordination hall (ubosot), a sermon hall, monks' residences (kuti), and a multipurpose building.
Wat Ammarawat was officially established in 2475 BE (1932 CE). According to its historical records, the original name of the temple was "Amarawat," and it was built in 2466 BE (1923 CE) by Nang Chang Khae and Nai Ying Ti. Locally, it was referred to as "Wat Pa Hiao." The temple received its Royal Act of Boundary Designation (Wisungkhama Sima) on April 23, 2529 BE (1986 CE), with a designated boundary measuring 40 meters in width and 80 meters in length.
