Wat Mae Hi Attractions in Mae Hong Son Mae Hi, Pai, Mae Hong Son. Wat Mae Hi is affiliated with the Maha Nikaya sect of Thai Buddhism. The temple is situated on a plot of land measuring 3 rai and 20 square wah (approximately 1.24 acres), registered under Land Title Deed No. 88 (Nor Sor 3).
The boundaries of the temple are as follows: to the north, approximately 30.2 wah, bordered by Mae Hi Stream; to the south, approximately 30 wah, bordered by private land; to the east, approximately 30.9 wah, bordered by a rural road and a national forest reserve; and to the west, approximately 9 wah, bordered by private land.
The temple's structures include an ordination hall (ubosot), monks’ quarters, and a multi-purpose hall. Sacred objects housed at the temple consist of various Buddha statues.
Wat Mae Hi was originally established in 1846 (B.E. 2389). Historical accounts suggest that construction of the temple was initiated by Khruba Pimpisan around 1777 (B.E. 2320). The temple received the official consecration of its ordination hall (Wisungkhama Sima) on September 2, 1937 (B.E. 2480).
