Wat Mae Na Toeng Nok Attractions in Mae Hong Son Mae Na Toeng, Pai, Mae Hong Son. Wat Mae Na Toeng Nok is affiliated with the Maha Nikaya sect of Thai Buddhism. The temple's land covers an area of 2 rai, 3 ngan, and 88 square wah (approximately 1.15 acres).
Wat Mae Na Toeng Nok was officially established in 1882 (B.E. 2425), but it originally served as a monastic dwelling as early as 1857 (B.E. 2400). The identity of the first monk to reside there is unknown, and during its early years, the temple was not yet flourishing or widely recognized.
Before receiving formal authorization to become a temple, Wat Mae Na Toeng Nok served as a gathering place for Buddhist devotees from Moo 1, Moo 2, and Moo 5 villages. As the site developed and attracted more visitors, the faith communities from Moo 2 and Moo 5 decided to establish their own temples in their respective villages.
In 1982 (B.E. 2525), the Department of Provincial Administration officially granted the status of a temple to Wat Mae Na Toeng Nok. It continues to serve as an active place of worship to this day.
