Wat Si Tia Si Tia, Ban Hong, Lamphun. Wat Sri Tia, under the Sangha of the Mahanikaya sect, occupies an area of 6 rai, 2 ngan, and 44 square wah.
The temple was established in 2319 BE and was originally an abandoned temple. Later, Phra Thaworn Thawornthammo from Wat Tamnak in Chiang Mai traveled with his followers to Ban Sri Tia. Upon seeing the abandoned temple, they decided to restore and renovate it. The temple grounds feature a Bodhi tree, known in the Northern region as the "Sri" or "Sahri" tree. This tree's branches extend to the ground, which led to the naming of the temple as Wat Sri Tia.
The temple received the royal land boundary decree (visungkamasima) in 2425 BE. According to records from the province, the temple dates back to 2402 BE. Phra Thaworn Thawornthammo was the first abbot of the temple, serving from 2373 to 2415 BE. Currently, Phra Kru Kalyathammuni is the abbot of Wat Sri Tia. The important religious structures of the temple include the ubosot, sermon hall, monks' quarters, Lanna-style stucco Buddha statues, and a chedi.
