Wat Mo Luang is located in Moo 1, Mae Mo Subdistrict, Mae Mo District, Lampang Province. It is a temple that has been granted official consecrated boundaries (Wisungkhamsima). The temple was permitted to be established in 1257 B.E. and received Wisungkhamsima in 1949 B.E.
Its boundaries are defined as follows: to the north lies a road, to the south a cemetery, to the west a mountain, and to the east another road. The temple compound includes a vihara, a meeting hall, surrounding pavilions, monks’ dwellings (kuti), a sermon hall, kitchen, and restrooms.
The temple is currently overseen by Phra Athikan Buntham Piyadhammo, age 46, who has been ordained for 12 years. He holds a Primary Buddhist Studies (Por.Bor.Sor.) certificate and has achieved the highest level of Dhamma studies (Nak Tham Ek). He serves as the abbot.
