Wat Nong Khla

Wat Nong Kla is located at No. 27, Ban Nong Kla, Moo 2, Tha Khaman Subdistrict, Pho Thale District, Phichit Province. It is a local temple affiliated with the Mahanikaya order and occupies a total area of 13 rai, 2 ngan, and 70 square wah. The temple is bordered to the north by a public road, to the south by rice fields, to the east by a canal, and to the west by Kung Canal, according to land document Nor Sor 3, No. 68. Wat Nong Kla was established in 1930 (B.E. 2473), taking its name from the village, and was built through the collective effort and dedication of local residents.

 

The temple serves not only as a place for religious ceremonies but also as a community center that provides knowledge and promotes morality among villagers over the years. Wat Nong Kla has had a total of 11 abbots throughout its history, beginning with Phra Ajarn Phad (1930–1934), followed by Phra Ajarn Phan (1935–1942), Phra Ajarn Kiao (1943–1949), as well as Phra Ajarn Chaeng, Phra Ajarn Rua, Phra Ajarn G, Phra Ajarn Sak, Phra Ajarn Jek, Phra Ajarn Laap, Phra Ajarn Charoen, and Phra Singh Boonyalo, who served as acting abbot later. The succession of abbots reflects the temple’s commitment to maintaining tradition, continuity, and the cultural and religious heritage of the community.
