Koh Rok Nai

Operating day: Daily
Operating time: 24 Hour

Amongst the myriads of islets in the Andaman Sea, there are very few whose nature remains unspoiled. Bordering Krabi and the Trang Sea, Koh Rok was previously a challenging destination to reach; however, with present day travelling conveniences, Koh Rok can be easily reached within a day's travel from Koh Lanta - a tourism hub of the bustling southern region of Thailand. Despite the swiftness of a speedboat, it does take some time to reach the pristine sea and lush scenery of this gorgeous mountainous landscape.

It has often been stated that the sea at Koh Rok is one of Mother Nature's greatest accomplishments. The turquoise-coloured sea is crystal clear, and one can easily peer deep down to the depths of the ocean where beautiful coral reefs invite us to plunge in and embark upon a deep-sea, intimate underwater experience.

Koh Rok consists of two islands: Koh Rok Nok and Koh Rok Nai, separated by a narrow waterway. The beach surrounding the waterway is a sight to behold with its majestic sand dunes that beckon every passer-by to pause and capture a snapshot. The only indication of civilisation on Koh Rok is the office of the Mu Koh Lanta National Park Ranger Station, resident area and camping site. With little human encroachment, Koh Rok is home to an abundance of land hermit crabs.
Recommended Activity:

Snorkelling - Travellers can enjoy camping by the beach at Ao Man Sai where the Mu Koh Lanta National Park Ranger Station is situated.

Inviting participants to place shells (that we may have bought at souvenir shops) at the "Land Hermit Crab's Home", allowing the hermit crabs to use the shell donations as their shields.
