Wat Map Toei, Rayong is a community Buddhist temple located in Ban Map Toei, Map Yang Phon Subdistrict, Pluak Daeng District, Rayong Province. It was established in 1978 (B.E. 2521) and officially received its consecration boundary (Visungkhamsima) on December 27, 1983 (B.E. 2526). The temple covers an area of about 14 rai and 39 square wah, bordered by the Pluak Daeng–Huai Prab Road to the north and a public road to the west, making it easily accessible from the surrounding community and industrial areas.
 
The temple’s main structures include a reinforced concrete Thai-style ordination hall (6 m wide, 21 m long, built in 1987) housing the principal Buddha image named “Phra Phuttha Siwarit,” a two-story sermon hall (9.5×36 m, built in 1997) used for religious ceremonies and community gatherings, and a multipurpose pavilion (9.5×36 m, built in 1989) that hosts various merit-making events throughout the year.
 
Important sacred objects include Phra Phuttha Siwarit in the ordination hall, two seated Buddha images in the Mara Vichai posture (each 49 inches wide, built in 1996) enshrined in the sermon hall, and several meditation Buddha images (39.25 inches built in 1997, and 39 inches built in 2001). The overall atmosphere is calm and modest—ideal for meditation, prayer, and quiet reflection.
 
Getting There Visitors can drive along Pluak Daeng–Huai Prab Road and enter Map Yang Phon Subdistrict. Look for the “Ban Map Toei” sign; the temple entrance is on the west side along a public road. Public transport users can take a local songthaew or hired motorcycle taxi from Pluak Daeng town and walk a short distance to reach the temple.
