Wat Khlong Kram, formerly known as Wat Khlong Kamrai, is a Buddhist temple under the Mahanikaya sect located in Moo 1, Tasi Subdistrict, Pluak Daeng District, Rayong Province. It holds historical and spiritual importance as a center of faith for the local community. The temple is surrounded by open fields and lush greenery, offering a peaceful atmosphere ideal for meditation and temple visits.
 
According to official records, Wat Khlong Kram was permitted for establishment on December 11, 1975, and officially founded on September 27, 1977. The temple covers an area of 9 rai, 3 ngan, and 75 square wah, and later received the royal boundary (Wisungkhamsima) on July 3, 1978. The temple compound includes several significant structures such as an ordination hall, sermon hall, and monks’ residences. The principal Buddha image in the ordination hall is in the Sukhothai style, 1.20 meters wide, built in 1985, while another Buddha image in the sermon hall is in the Phra Phuttha Chinnarat style with a 0.75-meter lap. The current abbot is Phra Athikan Saichon Thamwaro.
 
Wat Khlong Kram is open daily from 06:00 – 17:00. Visitors are not charged an admission fee and are welcome to make merit or donate voluntarily. Visitors are advised to dress modestly and act respectfully within the temple grounds. The calm atmosphere and natural setting make this temple an ideal spot for quiet reflection and religious practice.
 
Getting There – Wat Khlong Kram can be reached via Highway No. 344 (Ban Bueng – Klaeng). From Rayong City or Chonburi, continue to Pluak Daeng District and turn onto Local Road No. 3245 toward Tasi Subdistrict. Clear signs indicate the way to the temple. A spacious parking area is available inside the temple. Traveling by private car is most convenient, while visitors using public transport can take a van from Rayong to Pluak Daeng and continue by motorcycle taxi to the temple.
 
In addition to religious services, Wat Khlong Kram serves as a hub for community activities such as Buddhist Lent candle processions, merit-making ceremonies, and local festivals, reflecting the close bond between the temple and the surrounding community.
