The old military base at Ban Huai Kon, Huai Kon Subdistrict, was a battleground in the past. On April 9, 1975, the NCPO attacked. As a result, 69 soldiers in the 21st Infantry Regiment were on duty at this base, 17 died.

The military was able to maintain this base of operations. Currently, it has been renovated as a tourist attraction. There are important historical monuments to the battles of different ruling cults.
