Wat Mae Khatuan Attractions in Mae Hong Son Sop Moei, Sop Moei, Mae Hong Son. The temple was founded in 1877 (B.E. 2420) by Phor Thao Na Kaew Suwan, according to the information provided. The current abbot is Phra Praphat Panyawaro, and there are four monks residing at the temple.
The historical sites and structures include a vihara (assembly hall), constructed in 1978 (B.E. 2521); a monk's residence, built in 1999 (B.E. 2542); and a stupa (chedi), completed in 2001 (B.E. 2544).
The temple houses several historical objects, including a wooden Buddha statue made from Kanjan tree, created in 1855 (B.E. 2398), and a Dharma seat (Dharmasana), made in 1936 (B.E. 2479).
The temple celebrates traditional activities such as the Sak Nam Phra That ceremony, which takes place on the 13th day of the 8th lunar month in the northern tradition, and the Deun Si Peng tradition, which is observed annually in January and February.
