Wat Pa Mak Attractions in Mae Hong Son Ban Kat, Mae Sariang, Mae Hong Son. Wat Pa Mak is a private temple affiliated with the Mahanikaya sect. It occupies an area of 3 rai and was officially established as a temple in 2482 BE (1939 CE). The current abbot is Phra Panya Panyawuttho.

During World War II, Wat Pa Mak functioned primarily as a monks’ retreat rather than a formal temple. It houses a revered relic known as Phra That Mangklang, which has been a significant object of veneration for the local community for over five generations, approximately more than 100 years. Monastic residency at the temple has been intermittent, with periods when no monks resided there.
