Wat Mae La Luang Attractions in Mae Hong Son Mae La Luang, Mae Lanoi, Mae Hong Son. The monastery belongs to the Maha Nikaya sect and occupies a plot of land covering 5 rai. Its structures include an ordination hall (ubosot), a sermon hall (sala kan prian), a pavilion for merit-making activities, and religious relics such as a Buddha image and a stupa.
 
Wat Mae La Luang was established in 1937 (B.E. 2480) by Uncle Chong Saromtang and Uncle Chom Kejam, with the support of the local villagers who contributed to its construction. The monastery was granted the status of wisungkhamsima (a consecrated boundary for ordination) on August 30, 1977 (B.E. 2520). The consecrated area measures 40 meters in width and 80 meters in length.
 
In terms of administration and governance, the recorded abbots are as follows. The first abbot, Phra Vidha, served from 1852 to 1892 (B.E. 2395–2435). The second abbot, Phra Wilat, served from 1892 to 1926 (B.E. 2435–2469). The third abbot, Phra Khru Anusit Sasanatham, served from 1926 to 1987 (B.E. 2469–2530). The fourth abbot, Phra Chanphu Suthero, acted as abbot from 1987 to 1994 (B.E. 2530–2537). The current abbot, Phra Khru Anusit Thirakhun, has been serving since 1994 (B.E. 2537).
