Wat Chedi Sam Yot is located at 287 Ban Chedi Sam Yot, Ban Ruan Subdistrict, Pa Sang District. It is affiliated with the Mahanikaya Sangha and covers an area of 3 rai, 3 ngan, and 89 square wah. The temple complex includes an ordination hall, vihara, sermon hall, chedi, monk’s quarters, and a bell tower.
Wat Chedi Sam Yot was originally built in 1676 BE (2133 CE), according to its history. However, another account states it was established in 1830 BE (1287 CE). Previously known as Wat Rong Wua, it was named after the merchants who used the abandoned temple as a resting place while traveling with their cattle.
Later, the faithful villagers renovated the temple and invited Phra Uttamo to serve as the abbot. During his time, he discovered two chedis and an arched gate within the temple grounds, which inspired the name Wat Chedi Sam Yot.
