Wat Don Chai Lao Yao, Ban Hong, Lamphun. Wat Don Chai, belonging to the Maha Nikaya sect, occupies a land area of 5 rai, 3 ngan, and 75 square wah.

Wat Don Chai was established in 1882 (B.E. 2425) and was originally named "Wat Den Phak Kum" due to its location on a high hill where kum trees grew abundantly. Later, its name was changed to Wat Don Chai. The temple received the official consecration boundary (Wisungkhama Sima) on March 26, 1970 (B.E. 2513). The first abbot was Phra Akara Dee Yawut, and the current abbot is Phra Phalat Chanaphon.

The temple structures at Wat Don Chai include a vihara, an ordination hall (ubosot), monks' quarters (kuti), a sermon hall, a stupa, and a Khmer-style prang. Wat Don Chai also serves as the location for the Sunday Buddhist Education Center and the Thai Cultural Community Network Project.
