Western Thai Culture Institute Phra Pathom Chedi, Muang Nakhon Pathom, Nakhon Pathom. Western Thai Culture Institute is located at Tub Charoen residence, Sanamchan palace. 
 
The institute is a part of Silapakorn University. It has collected both heritages and contemporary cultural art pieces which praise the local folk wisdom.
 
They are displayed in the permanent museum and travelling exhibition as the information-culture center and support the cultural activities in various fields.   
 
This institute was used to hold continuous fairs in conserving Thai heritage week. It provided an exhibition about a kind of Thai verse in the form of poetry song while paddling boat, “Hae Chom Kreng Wang” poetic verse while paddling,
 
“Hae Chom Phra Naresuan” ancient poetic verse while paddling, music and singing of Phra Bat Somdet Phra Poramentharamaha Vajiravudh Phra Mongkut Klao Chao Yu Hua’s  (King Rama VI) music compositions, Sii Yuud musical band performance and the artwork display about the boats from Silapakorn university.
 
The Western Thai Culture Institute building is located at Tub Charoen residence which was once a residence of general Ram Rasob the great (Phue Peungboon the great-great-grandchild of a king), 
 
the director-general of a royal page bureau. Later, it was renovated as the provincial public health office and the Western Thai Culture Institute nowadays. The building is made of teakwood with big space under the residence. The upper floor displays Phetchaburi local artist’s, Pin Infahsaeng, artworks, 
 
Sarai Suaysombon’s puppets, ancient equipments, utensils and Thai porcelains with various designs in 5 colors made in Kangsi, Song and Karen people histories (which includes the garments, local handicrafts, the various pattern of cloth), clay mini people dolls and wickers.
 
Under the residence displays the tools and equipments used in agriculture and Thai people lifestyle from the past until nowadays such as ploughs, rakes, bamboo-strips tied together used for splitting the grain, barrels used for splitting the grain, tools used for separating the rice, mills, water-wheels, wind-wheels and tools used in fishery.
