Its official establishment marked the beginning of the temple’s development into a Buddhist center in the area.

 

Later, on January 13, 1995, Wat Hub Ta Khot was granted royal wisungkhamasima, the formal boundary designation for an ordination hall used in Buddhist ceremonies. Receiving this royal boundary designation was an important milestone that affirmed the temple’s significance and allowed it to conduct Buddhist rituals in a complete and proper manner.

 

Today, Wat Hub Ta Khot is a royal-supported village temple under the Mahanikaya sect of Thai Buddhism, with Phra Kru Sophon Thamrongkit serving as the abbot. He is highly respected by the local community and plays an important role in caring for and developing the temple as a suitable place for meditation practice and the propagation of Buddhism.

 

One of the reasons Wat Hub Ta Khot is well known is the presence of several large Buddha images set amid the beauty of the surrounding mountains and natural landscape, creating an atmosphere that is both peaceful and sacred. The important sacred images within the temple include a large statue of Luang Pu Thuat with a lap width of about 5 meters and a height of about 7 meters. There is also a large image of Somdet Phra Phutthachan (To Phromrangsi), enshrined beside Luang Pu Thuat, with a lap width of about 5 meters and a height of about 7 meters. Somdet To is a highly revered monk known for compassion, loving-kindness, and spiritual protection. For this reason, many people come to pay respect and pray for blessings related to life, work, and prosperity.

 

Within the temple grounds there is also a large image of Luang Pho Sothon, with a lap width of about 7 meters and a height of about 9 meters. Inside the ordination hall is another important sacred Buddha image known as “Luang Pho Sayop Man,” a highly revered image respected by local residents. People who visit the temple often enter the hall to pay their respects, pray for blessings, and bring auspiciousness to their lives.

 

In addition to its sacred objects, Wat Hub Ta Khot also has important structures used for religious activities, such as the meditation hall, which is about 12 meters wide and 21 meters long. This hall is used for meditation, listening to Dhamma teachings, and hosting Buddhist activities.

Getting There from Hua Hin town, take Highway 3219 toward Sam Roi Yot District. When you reach kilometer marker 286.5, turn toward Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park. Continue driving straight to the end of the road, where you will see a sign pointing to Wat Hub Ta Khot. Turn right and continue for about 2 kilometers to reach the temple.
