Ban Krut Beach is one of the most famous beaches in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. It is located in the Ban Krut area, Thong Chai Subdistrict, Bang Saphan District. This beach features a long stretch of white sandy shoreline that runs parallel to the coastal road. The coastline extends for approximately 12 kilometers, making Ban Krut Beach one of the longest and most beautiful beaches along the Gulf of Thailand.

Most local residents continue to work in coastal fishing, which has been the traditional occupation of the community for generations. Visitors walking along the beach in the early morning may see small fishing boats returning to shore with fresh seafood caught from the Gulf of Thailand.

 

In addition to fishing, the Ban Krut community is also known for seafood processing activities such as producing dried fish, dried squid, and other preserved seafood products that are sold to visitors and local markets. Another important economic activity in the area is jellyfish harvesting. The jellyfish are processed and exported to international markets.

 

The slope of Ban Krut Beach is relatively gentle, making it suitable for relaxing walks along the shoreline. The sand is fine and clean, and the sea water is clear blue, especially during the tourist season when the sea is calm. Visitors can swim in several parts of the beach.

Getting There If traveling by car, take Highway No. 4 (Phetkasem Road) to approximately kilometer marker 382. Turn left onto the Phetkasem–Ban Krut road, then cross the railway line and continue driving for about 9 kilometers until you reach the Ban Krut Beach coastal road.

 

If traveling by train, visitors can get off at Ban Krut Railway Station and take a motorcycle taxi to reach the beach.

 

If traveling by bus, visitors can take a Bangkok–Bang Saphan Noi route bus and get off at the Ban Krut intersection, then continue by local transportation to reach the beach.
