Kaew Komol Cave is a rare natural attraction in Mae Hong Son, known for its stunning white calcite crystal formations. These crystals create a breathtaking interior that resembles a frozen cave filled with sparkling gemstones, making it one of the most unique caves in Thailand.

The cave gained national recognition when Her Majesty Queen Sirikit visited on February 19, 2001, and granted it the name “Kaew Komol,” meaning “The Cave of Beautiful Crystals.”

Located in Mae La Noi District, the cave is formed through geological processes over millions of years. Inside, visitors can explore five chambers, each showcasing different crystal formations such as ice-like flakes, sugar-like textures, coral structures, and hanging formations.

Getting There Take Highway 108 (Mae Hong Son – Mae Sariang). At km 132–133 near Mae La Noi Hospital, turn left and continue to the parking area. From there, use the park shuttle service to reach the cave entrance.
