Mae La Noi Royal Project Development Center was later established in 1980 at Ban Dong, and it has continued to support nearby villages in agriculture, education, social development, and environmental care ever since.

 

The center covers a highland area in Huai Hom Subdistrict, Mae La Noi District, Mae Hong Son Province. The landscape is defined by mountains, steep slopes, forested watersheds, and agricultural terraces. Local communities are largely Karen and Lawa, and the center plays an important role in supporting occupations that are suitable for the climate and terrain. Getting There From Chiang Mai, take Highway 108 toward Mae Hong Son, pass Mae Sariang, and continue to Mae La Noi District. At kilometer marker 132, turn right onto Route 1266 and drive uphill for about 30 km to reach the center. The road is accessible by regular vehicles, though extra caution is recommended during the rainy season.
