The distance from Khon Kaen city to the main park area is approximately 55–65 km, depending on the route and destination. If visiting Hin Chang Si Viewpoint, travelers should set the map destination specifically because the viewpoint area is in a different zone from the main park headquarters.

 

Having a vehicle is strongly recommended because attractions within the park are spread out. Travelers who do not drive should arrange a rented car with driver from Khon Kaen city, especially if they plan to combine the national park with Ubolratana Dam, Wat Phra Bat Phu Phan Kham, lakeside restaurants, and accommodation around Ubolratana.
