Wat Sri Bun Rueang is a historic temple located in Chiang Rai city. It dates back to the early Lanna period and reflects the cultural and religious heritage of northern Thailand.

 

The temple was originally built around 1982 BE and later became abandoned. It was revived when important Buddha images were relocated here from another temple following urban changes in the area.

 

In 1946, the temple received official recognition, allowing it to conduct full religious ceremonies. Today, it remains an active temple and a peaceful place for visitors.
