The Central Literature Botanic Garden

The Central Literature Botanic Garden lies on the foothill of Khao Prathabchang which is opposite of Khao Bin cave’s entrance. It is situated at Hin Kong Sub-District, Chom Bueng District, Ratchaburi.
The 4800 acres area place across both Din Kong Sub-District, Muang District and Pak Chong Sub-District, Chom Bueng District. The lowland area was surrounded by Prathabchang Mountain where all the varieties of plant grow.
The forest nearby the area is dry dipterocarp forest, evergreen forest, and mixed forest with loose soil mixed with sandy soil on the ground.
The botanic garden displays all the plants that were stated on the Thai literature as follows: Inao, Khun Chang Khun Paen, Da Lhang, Phra Aphaimanee, Rammakian, Lilit Phralor, Lilit Talengphai, Aunnarut, Karb He Ruea, Niras Muangphet.
And, as well displays 33 plots of literature plants which gather more than 337 kinds of plants here. Besides, the place spread knowledge for those who interested in nature and botanical gardens.
There will be an overnight camp at the garden held in order to give people knowledge about natures. The best period which you can see white Orapin flowers bloom everywhere is During December to April.
Presently, the central literature botanic garden is under the responsibility of Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

The nature trail is named ‘Pruksa Nanaphan’ which consists of 13 stations with 900 meters distance. The trail would take you 45 minutes through the tree plots which are related to Thai literature such as herbs, plants of each province, etc.
On January and June of each year, there will be a marathon and cycling activities held by the central literature botanic garden together with Chombueng Ratchaphat University.
Travel: Take a Bangkok-Chombueng bus from Bangkok and drop off at Khao Bin cave. You will spot the central literature botanic garden right in front of you.
