Wat Phra That Doi Saket is an ancient and highly respected temple located in Choeng Doi Subdistrict, Doi Saket District, Chiang Mai Province. For generations, this temple has served as a spiritual center for communities on the eastern side of Chiang Mai. Historical accounts indicate that the temple was established in 2155 BE, and it later received royal permission to establish its boundary (wisungkhamsima) on February 7, 2461 BE. In 2543 BE, the temple was honored as an outstanding model development temple by a government agency, reinforcing its image as a living religious space that continues to serve the community.

 

In recent years, one feature that attracts many visitors is the scenic viewpoint area, often referred to as the “Skywalk.” This elevated walkway offers an open and airy perspective over the surrounding landscape.
