Than Thip Waterfall Forest Park is a natural attraction located in Bung Nam Tao and Bung Khlong Subdistricts, Lom Sak District, Phetchabun Province. The park covers parts of Khao Plok Lon and Khao Pa Kor–Wang Chomphu National Reserved Forests, which serve as important headwaters of the Pa Sak River. The area features mountainous terrain and dense forest, providing a habitat for wildlife such as junglefowl, rodents, wild cats, and butterflies.

 

The main highlight is Than Thip Waterfall, also known as “Moo Bud Waterfall.” It is a large single-tier waterfall about 26 meters high and 30 meters wide, with water flowing year-round. The stream below features cascades, rocky rapids, and natural pools stretching for more than 2 kilometers, offering a dynamic and scenic natural environment.

 

The surrounding forest creates a peaceful atmosphere, making it ideal for relaxation, photography, and nature exploration. Visitors can enjoy the sound of flowing water and the shade of large trees while experiencing one of the most intact forest ecosystems in Phetchabun.

 

Getting There from Phetchabun city involves taking Highway 21 toward Lom Sak for about 28 km to Ban Bung Nam Tao. Then turn left onto the Bung Nam Tao–Thung Samo route for about 4 km. At the intersection near Military Unit 28, turn left onto Highway 2302. Continue for about 1 km, then turn toward the forest park office and drive another 1.5 km to the parking area. From there, visitors must walk approximately 1.2 km to reach the waterfall.

 

Than Thip Waterfall Forest Park is suitable for a day trip or as part of a larger travel itinerary in Phetchabun. It can easily be combined with visits to Lom Sak or Khao Kho, making it an excellent destination for nature lovers exploring northern Thailand.
