Tha Lane Bay is an area of pristine mangrove forest that is said to be among the most beautiful in Thaialnd.The route takes you through a series of towering limestone canyons and the lagoons that have forms inside the sheltered bays.The flora and fauna of this engangered ecosystem is diverse and the area though not officially as a national park may soon become one.

 

Kayaking at Tha Lane Bay is slightly different from a white-water kayak,which is smaller and more maneuverable but much less stable.Most tour company use light plastic sit on top kayaks which means your legs are not held inside.This is turn required the kayak to be self-bailing,a technic feature worth highlighting only becasue it means your bum will get wet so dress appropriately

 

How to get there By local Song Taew ( Routs :  Krabi town - Ao Tha lane) Get on Song Thew at station where in front of Pharmacy named Suwanna in Krabi Town.Take Song Taew about 30 minutes to arrive at Tha Lane Bay at new pier.
