Usawadee Rose Garden, Ratchaburi is one of the well-known tourist destinations in Suan Phueng District, Ratchaburi Province. The place gained significant popularity during the rapid growth of tourism in Suan Phueng around 2005–2012. In the past, the area was famous for its vast rose fields planted across a scenic valley surrounded by mountains and nature. Many tourists traveled here to take photographs and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere that resembled a countryside landscape in Europe. However, the area no longer grows roses today. Even so, the location still offers a tranquil natural environment and remains a relaxing stop for visitors traveling through Suan Phueng.

 

Usawadee Rose Garden is located in Suan Phueng Subdistrict, Suan Phueng District, Ratchaburi Province. It is approximately 19 kilometers from Suan Phueng town center. Travelers must continue toward Huai Nam Sai Village for another 3 kilometers to reach the area. The site lies within the Tenasserim mountain range, which stretches along the Thailand–Myanmar border. As a result, the surrounding landscape consists of valleys and forested hills, and the climate is generally cooler than nearby lowland areas.

 

Although roses are no longer cultivated here, the Usawadee area still retains its charm as a peaceful natural retreat. Visitors can stroll through the surrounding landscape, take photographs of the mountains, and enjoy the quiet atmosphere. The area also serves as a convenient stop before traveling to nearby natural attractions, particularly Pa Toey Waterfall, which is located about 1 kilometer away.

 

One of the activities many travelers enjoy when visiting this area is walking to Pa Toey Waterfall. This small natural waterfall is hidden within the forest, and the walking trail to reach it is approximately 1 kilometer long. The path is shaded by trees and provides a pleasant short nature walk for visitors who enjoy light hiking and experiencing the natural environment.

 

The area around Usawadee Rose Garden also connects conveniently to several popular attractions in Suan Phueng. These include Kao Chan Waterfall (also known as Kao Chon Waterfall), a large waterfall with nine tiers located within the Tenasserim mountain range. Another nearby attraction is Oh Poi Market, a community market run by the Karen people, as well as Khao Krajom Viewpoint, which is well known as a spectacular spot for viewing the sea of mist during the early morning hours.

 

Getting There Travelers can reach Usawadee Rose Garden by starting from Bangkok and heading toward Ratchaburi Province via Phetkasem Road. From there, continue along Highway 3087 to Suan Phueng District. Once reaching Suan Phueng town, drive approximately 19 kilometers in the direction of Kao Chan Waterfall. At the Huai Nam Sai junction, turn onto the road leading to the village and continue for about 3 kilometers to reach the Usawadee Rose Garden area.

 

Getting There by private car from Bangkok takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. The road in the Suan Phueng area winds through mountainous terrain with several curves, but the scenery along the route is beautiful. This makes the journey itself an enjoyable part of the trip for travelers who appreciate scenic drives through nature.

 

For those traveling by public transportation, it is possible to take a van from Bangkok to Ratchaburi city. From there, visitors can take a local songthaew or rental vehicle to Suan Phueng District, and then hire a local vehicle or taxi service to reach Usawadee Rose Garden.
