Pha Bong Waterfall is a small yet remarkable natural attraction located in Pha Bong Subdistrict, Mueang Mae Hong Son District, Mae Hong Son Province. Despite its modest size, the waterfall stands approximately 40 meters tall, creating a gentle cascading flow down a rocky cliff surrounded by lush forest.

 

Locally known as “Nam Kham Khon,” the waterfall is fed by the Kham Khon stream. During the rainy season, the waterfall becomes particularly beautiful as water flows continuously, forming a soft curtain effect. In contrast, the dry season may bring reduced water levels or temporary dryness.

 

The waterfall features a peaceful environment with a small natural pool at the base where visitors can relax and enjoy the water. The surrounding deciduous forest provides shade and a refreshing atmosphere throughout the year.

 

Getting There is easy from Mae Hong Son town, about 13 kilometers away. Visitors can take Highway 108 toward Khun Yuam District, then turn left at the Pha Bong checkpoint and continue for about 1.5 kilometers to reach the waterfall.
