Wat Mae Na Toeng Nai Mae Na Toeng, Pai, Mae Hong Son. Wat Mae Na Toeng Nai is affiliated with the Maha Nikaya sect of Thai Buddhism. The temple was originally built on a plot of land measuring 1 rai, 1 ngan, and 60 square wah (approximately 0.56 acres), registered under Land Title Deed No. 57 (Nor Sor 3).
The temple's boundaries are as follows: to the north, it is approximately 42 wah and bordered by Nam Toeng Stream; to the south, approximately 46 wah and bordered by Mueang Man Stream; to the east, approximately 41 wah and bordered by Nam Toeng Stream and a public road; and to the west, approximately 36 wah and bordered by the temple's garden.
The temple comprises various religious and communal buildings, including a vihara (assembly hall), monks' quarters, alms hall, multi-purpose hall, shelter for nuns, kitchen, and a Thai-style pavilion. Sacred objects at the temple include a Thai Yai-style Buddha statue crafted from local cotton, lacquered and gilded, as well as other Buddha statues, a gong, and a drum.
Wat Mae Na Toeng Nai was founded in 1916 (B.E. 2459). Historical records indicate that the original temple, known as Wat Sri Bun Rueang, was located to the south of the current site. However, the original temple was destroyed by fire. The land where the original temple once stood was subsequently used to establish a public school. The current temple site was established under the leadership of local figures, including Chao Phochai Sriwichai and Village Headman Mr. Tui Kaewsuta, who, along with the local community, contributed to the construction of the new temple.
