Nong Tabak Waterfall is a small natural attraction located in Moo 7, Saphan Hin Subdistrict, Prachinburi Province. It is characterized by a stream flowing over a rocky slope stretching about 100 meters. The surrounding atmosphere is calm and quiet, embraced by dry dipterocarp forest, making it a perfect spot for simple relaxation close to nature.

The area features a stream cascading over layers of rock, forming several small basins. The sound of flowing water blends with birdsong and the wind rustling through the trees. Native species such as Lagerstroemia (Tabak), Dipterocarpus, and Shorea, as well as ground plants, grow among the rocks. The best time to visit is during the rainy season, from May to November, when the water is clear and the environment is most fertile.

The name “Nong Tabak” is linked to the area’s original landscape, once a swamp surrounded by Lagerstroemia trees. When water from higher ground flowed into the area, it formed a long stream, and the name became associated with the waterfall. For local villagers, the site has served as a natural community space for relaxation, swimming, and environmental learning for children.

Activities here are simple but enjoyable, such as sitting by the stream, having a picnic, taking photos of nature, and exploring the plants around. Since there are very few facilities, visitors should bring their own food and drinks, and always take their trash back to preserve the environment.

Travel: From Prachinburi town, head toward Saphan Hin Subdistrict, enter Moo 7, and continue along the village road for about 2 kilometers to reach the stream. From Bangkok, take Highway 33 (Suwannason Road) to Prachinburi, then proceed to Saphan Hin and Moo 7. The total distance is about 150 km, taking 2.5–3 hours by car. For public transport, take a van or train from Bangkok to Prachinburi town, then hire a local vehicle to Moo 7 and walk about 2 km to the waterfall.
