Khao Ito Waterfall is a small waterfall located on Khao Ito in Ban Phra Subdistrict, Mueang Prachinburi District. The stream flows down along layers of rocks, creating gentle cascades. Although not very high, the surrounding open forest makes the place shady and peaceful. It is an easily accessible spot near the town, suitable for visitors of all ages, with only a short walk from the parking lot.

 

The best time to visit is during the rainy season, from July to October, when the stream is full and flows vigorously, creating a refreshing atmosphere. In the dry season, the water decreases significantly, leaving small clear pools where visitors can soak their feet and enjoy the quiet sounds of the forest. This serene charm appeals to those who love simplicity and tranquility.

 

The location is close to Chakkraphong Reservoir and Pahinson Viewpoint, making it possible to plan a one-day trip. Visitors can enjoy the reservoir view, relax at the waterfall, and even go for a light hike. For those who wish to stay overnight, camping grounds are available in the Khao Ito area, offering a natural experience under the stars.

 

Travel: From Prachinburi town, take Highway No. 33 (Suwannasorn Road) for about 3 kilometers. At kilometer markers 160–161, turn left following the sign to Chakkraphong Reservoir. Continue for about 1 more kilometer to reach the waterfall’s parking area. From there, it’s just a short walk to the rocky stream.

 

The area provides basic facilities such as restrooms, parking lots, and resting spots. During the rainy season, visitors should beware of strong currents and slippery rocks. Children must always be under adult supervision. Since information on operating hours and fees varies by source, calling ahead is recommended to confirm.

 

 

During the rainy season, around July–October, the waterfall is at its fullest. In the dry season, the flow decreases significantly.
