Prachinwanarom Public Park, also known as “Nong Kwian Hak,” is a green space in the heart of Na Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang Prachinburi. Formerly a shallow public pond of about 12 rai that could not store water effectively, the area was later improved and upgraded by the municipality into a public park in honor of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Today, it serves as the city’s lung, where people come to run, walk, cycle, and relax by the water.
The atmosphere is highlighted by the wide pond at the center, an open view with gentle breezes. The running path loops around the pond with benches placed at intervals. In the mornings, seniors can be seen walking briskly, while afternoons and evenings are filled with families and children enjoying activities. The park feels lively yet retains a calm simplicity.
The renovation concept focused on adding urban green space while preserving the pond as the core landscape element. It has become a public space for community activities, from health campaigns and youth events to local commemorations.
Getting There is easy via Suwannason Road (Hwy 33), then turn onto Ratsadon Bamrung Road. Limited street parking is available in permitted areas. For public transport, arrive in Prachinburi city or Prachinburi Railway Station, then continue by motorcycle taxi or taxi. The in-town distance is short.
Best Time to Visit is 05:30–08:00 and 16:30–18:30 when the light is soft and breezes are pleasant, perfect for exercise and photography by the pond.
Park Etiquette Keep the park clean, share paths politely among walkers, runners, and cyclists, and avoid loud activities that disturb the community.
