Ban Bu Sai Shiitake Mushroom Culture and Process Demonstration Center Thai Samakkhi, Wong Samakkhi, Nakhon Ratchasima. Visitors can observe agricultural techniques adapted from local wisdom and procedures to process mushrooms. Fresh and processed mushrooms are available to purchase.

 

Shiitake and Lingzhi Mushroom farm Shiitake is a profitable economic crop exclusively grown in cold-climate areas, but the research findings of Asst. Prof. Dr. Thawatchai Teekachunhatean from Suranaree University of Technology lead to the development of technology for Shiitake fungi-culture in tropical climate.

 

The research also involves new heat-tolerant mushroom cultivars, humidity control in mushroom inoculum, the use of specific temperature at 10 degree Celsius to boost mushroom pinning, etc.

 

After the commercial production testing, in 1999 - 2000 the research applications were introduced to local farmers of Ban Suk Somboon, Thai Samakkhi subdistrict, Wang Nam Khiao district, Nakhon Ratchasima province.
