Wang Nok Aen Waterfall is located within the Saku Notayan Forest Park at kilometer 33 of Highway 12, between Phitsanulok and Lom Sak. Visitors can turn right and travel about 1 kilometer to reach this waterfall. Wang Nok Aen Waterfall is a small waterfall formed from the Wang Thong stream, which originates from the Kek River. The surrounding area is filled with a variety of shady trees, with informative signs labeling each species, making it an ideal natural destination for relaxation and close encounters with nature.
On the western side, there is a pavilion built to welcome His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen during their visit to Northern Thailand on September 28, 1958. This pavilion offers a clear view of the Wang Thong River. On the eastern side, there is a riverside pavilion that serves as a resting spot where visitors can enjoy the scenic view of both sides of the Wang Thong River. Visitors can sit and relax while taking in the beauty of the waterfall and the surrounding forest.
About 500 meters before the waterfall, a sign points to Kaeng Sai, a small rocky rapids area in the middle of the river, ideal for relaxation or small outdoor activities such as picnicking or photography. Visitors to Wang Nok Aen Waterfall often take time to explore the natural trails around the waterfall, surrounded by lush greenery and the refreshing flow of water.
This waterfall is suitable for visitors of all ages who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the peacefulness of nature. In the morning and evening, sunlight filtering through the trees enhances the serene and picturesque atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for photographers. Although small, the waterfall provides opportunities for capturing both wide-angle landscape shots and close-up images of flowing water and surrounding vegetation.
Getting to Wang Nok Aen Waterfall is convenient. Visitors can drive along Highway 12 from Phitsanulok City toward Lom Sak and turn right following the signs for about 1 kilometer to reach the parking area. From there, it is a short walk to the waterfall, ideal for those who want to experience nature up close without a long trek.
With its tranquility, greenery, and natural beauty, Wang Nok Aen Waterfall is a perfect destination for relaxation, nature study, and photography.
