Khao Takrub Waterfall is one of the most scenic and pristine natural waterfalls in Sa Kaeo Province. Getting There: From Sa Kaeo city, take Highway 317 toward Wang Nam Yen District. Look for the Wang Nam Yen Furniture Workshop on the right-hand side. About 20 meters past the shop, turn right onto Road S.K. 3019. Follow this route for approximately 28 kilometers as it gradually enters forest terrain. At the end of the drivable road, you will reach the parking area. From there, continue on foot for about 2 kilometers to reach Khao Takrub Waterfall. The total distance from Sa Kaeo city is around 30 kilometers.

 

The trek from the parking area is moderately challenging. Although the route is not extremely steep, the ground can be slippery at times, especially during the rainy season. Expect patches of uneven soil, tree roots, and rocks. Those unfamiliar with forest trekking may find it tiring, but taking breaks along the way to enjoy the forest scenery makes the journey more pleasant. Wearing sturdy, grippy footwear and bringing enough drinking water will greatly improve comfort and safety. During the rainy months, visitors should also watch out for leeches and avoid trekking during heavy rainfall.
