Wat Chum Saeng is located in Moo 1, Chum Saeng Subdistrict, Rayong Province, covering an area of approximately 39 rai and 20 square wah. The temple is surrounded by lush greenery and a variety of Thai trees, creating a peaceful and natural atmosphere. Visitors often encounter wild jungle fowls wandering freely around the temple grounds, reflecting the harmony between nature and the local way of life.

 

The temple features a beautifully designed ordination hall and bell tower, representing the elegant craftsmanship of Rayong’s local artisans. Surrounded by large shade trees, the area is cool and tranquil—ideal for making merit, listening to sermons, or finding peace of mind away from the busyness of daily life.

 

The Ministry of Education officially established Wat Chum Saeng on October 27, 1988, and it was later granted its royal boundary (Wisungkhamsima) on July 13, 1993. Since then, the temple has served as the spiritual center for the local community. On Buddhist holy days and major religious occasions, villagers gather here to make merit, listen to sermons, and continue age-old Buddhist traditions.

 

Getting There — From Rayong city, visitors can reach the temple by private car via the Rayong – Ban Bueng Road, about 15 kilometers away. Upon reaching Chum Saeng Subdistrict, there are clear signs leading to the temple. The road is fully paved, and parking is available within the temple grounds. For those traveling by public transport, take a local songthaew (shared pickup truck) from Rayong to Chum Saeng, then continue by motorcycle taxi to the temple.
