Nam Rin Beach is a small seaside area in Ban Chang District, Rayong Province, known for its peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The beach is lined with soft sand and clear water, creating a calm retreat away from the busier tourist zones. At the rocky end of the shore stands the carved stone sculpture of a “Dugong Family,” a local symbol of marine conservation and community pride.

 

The charm of this beach lies in its stillness. Early mornings reveal small fishing boats returning to shore, while afternoons bring a gentle sea breeze. As the sun sets, the sky glows in layers of gold and pink hues, making the entire coast a favorite spot for quiet walks, reading, and photography beneath the shady pine trees.

 

The Ban Chang community and local municipality take great care of the beach, providing public restrooms, shaded pavilions, parking space, and regular clean-up activities. This cooperation keeps the area tidy and welcoming without losing its natural seaside charm.

 

The name “Nam Rin,” meaning “gently flowing water,” reflects the soft rhythm of the sea waves that constantly lap against the shore. It is a place for those who enjoy serenity—reading by the sea, listening to waves, or picnicking with loved ones—without traveling far into the islands.

 

Getting There From Bangkok, take the Burapha Withi Expressway connecting to Motorway No.7 toward Ban Chang, then exit to Sukhumvit Road (Highway 3) and follow the seaside route to Nam Rin Beach. The total distance is about 190 km and takes around 2–2.5 hours. From Rayong city, head south along Sukhumvit Road for about 40 km, then turn onto the local road leading directly to the beach.
