Drumming Period The drum tam dance is an ancient cultural heritage of Nong Kaeo people, Nong Wang Sub-district, Kanthararom District. Since when did this dance begin? This tambourine dance takes place around the 6th month of every year. It is used to accompany the Bun Bang Fai tradition during the daytime. Originally, the dancers were all males. But nowadays there are both males and females. At night, there will be a dance of snakes eating khat. which is a dance for courtship between a man and a woman.
 
The importance of playing the tambourine will not pay homage to the teacher. When it starts, it will dance. As for the broadcast, the previous generation of dancers will be the ones who will pass it on to the next generation. There are 3 poses in the dance which are:
 
Step 1 position starts with the posture of raising both hands with elbows perpendicular and parallel to each other. Open your hand so that the back of your hand faces the dancer. Then swing arms up and down beside the body alternately, left and right, to invite brothers and sisters to join in the fun and joy in the Bun Bang Fai tradition.
 
Step 2 Raise both hands open. and crossed at the forehead level The elbow is a sign of the unity of the villagers.
 
Step 3 Extend both arms forward. The palms parallel to each other are meant to lead to the same goal. in order to carry on the correct and good traditions The dance will bounce backwards.
 
Instruments used to accompany and give the rhythm of the dance include the tambourine drum, a two-faced drum made of padauk wood. The drum face was made of cowhide or buffalo skin. The drumstick is made of real heartwood, without covering the head of the stick, and Pang Had looks like a gong. But there is no percussion instrument to intervene with the drum sound.
 
In the dance, the drums and panhandle are used in the same way. Two bearers face each other, one playing the drum. Another hit Pang Had. The drum bearer and Pang Had will lead the procession and play the drums in the same rhythm. thump - paste - thump When changing the dance moves, the hitter Pang Had will be the one giving the signal. The dance moves are not delicate but look beautiful with a dazzling dress.
 
Attire You can wear any color shirt. For beauty, usually wear a white silk sarong with beautiful colors with a sabai. beautiful weave pattern and a turban with a Khit pattern, put on the ear canopy (ancient earrings) around the neck with a tassel Or three arm earrings, one is a necklace, the other two are crossed like a sangwan line. At the edge of the tassel, use the money to make a star shape and hang it over the sabai cloth.
 
And there is another small pair of glasses (mirrors) hung around the neck with a necklace for use when applying makeup and for a flash of light. reflecting to the angels of heaven and earth to see the misery of human beings wearing bracelets, ankles on both sides, with Khit cloth wrapped around the waist over the other piece, when dancing, they will wear their hands (hand nails) 5 inches long and slender using bamboo weave keep looking at the long fingers At the end of the stick, the cotton cloth is tied up in white when dancing. It looks very beautiful.
 
Reflecting unity and the unity of the villagers who come to dance the tambourine drums to perform the Bun Bang Fai tradition which is a cultural heritage inherited from each other The children and youths in the villages were playing with fun. It is considered as a gift to continue the good traditions of the local area.
