Wat Koh Kaew is a Theravada Buddhist temple under the Maha Nikaya sect, located in Kradangnga Subdistrict, Bang Khonthi District, Samut Songkhram Province. It serves as a central religious and cultural hub for the local community and is closely connected to the well-known Bang Noi Floating Market, a traditional riverside market popular among both Thai and international visitors.

The temple dates back to the late Ayutthaya period. The original ordination hall was built in the Maha Ut style with a single entrance, a unique architectural form in ancient Thai temples. Inside, the principal Buddha image is made of red stone, reflecting historical craftsmanship. A major restoration took place in 1985, followed by a boundary consecration ceremony in 1996.

The temple has continuously played an important role in religious practices, education, and community gatherings. It remains a center for traditional ceremonies and local cultural activities.

The temple has had nine abbots throughout its history. The current abbot is Phra Khru Sunthorn Samutkhun (Visit Thanawaro), who has been leading the temple since 2004.

Getting There Visitors can reach the temple via Rama II Road (Highway 35), heading toward Samut Songkhram, then continue to Bang Khonthi District. The temple is located near Bang Noi Floating Market, which serves as a clear landmark. Traveling by boat along the canal is also possible and offers an authentic local experience.
