Most villagers are farmers who grow a variety of crops, especially coconut, fruits, and vegetables. Products commonly found here include chili, shallots, garlic, guava, coconut, rose apples, pomelo, and coconut sugar, which is a signature product of Samut Songkhram.

 

What makes this market unique is its calm and authentic atmosphere. There are fewer tourists, allowing visitors to walk around comfortably, interact with local vendors, and observe traditional trading practices. In some cases, barter trading still takes place among locals, offering a rare glimpse into a fading cultural tradition.

 

The surrounding environment features small canals, wooden houses, and lush coconut plantations, creating a peaceful rural setting. Visitors can also enjoy traditional Thai desserts and local dishes made from fresh ingredients sourced directly from nearby farms.

 

Getting There is convenient. Visitors can drive along Highway No. 325 (Samut Songkhram – Bang Phae route) to kilometer 32, then turn right and continue for about 5 kilometers. Public transportation is also available from Samut Songkhram town, with buses running from approximately 07:00 to 18:00, departing every 20 minutes on the Tha Kha – Wat Thep Prasit route.
