Wat Luang is located at No. 212, Moo 3, Khum, Tambon Luang Nuea, Ngao District, Lampang Province, postal code 52110. It is a private Buddhist temple under the Maha Nikaya sect. The temple was granted Wisungkhamsima in 1924 (B.E. 2467) and the Sima boundary was formally established in 1929 (B.E. 2472). In 1979 (B.E. 2522), it was selected as an exemplary development temple. Its boundaries are as follows: to the north is Rangsai Road, and to the south, east, and west is Rititharuntha Road.
The abbot is Phra Khru Sunthonwarawong (Sundaro). Wat Luang is an ancient and respected temple of Ngao District, serving as a spiritual center for the residents of Khum Village and Ban Don Chai. On important religious days, local villagers gather here to participate in ceremonies and traditional events. The temple also serves as a school for monks and novices.
