Hill Tribe Village and Long Neck Karen Village is located at 40 Moo 6, Ban Pa O, Nang Lae Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Rai. It is a cultural tourism destination that gives visitors the chance to experience the way of life of highland ethnic communities up close, including the Akha, Yao, Lisu, Long Neck Karen, Karen, and Lahu, all of whom continue to preserve their distinct cultural identity and traditional lifestyle.

 

Within the area, visitors can learn about and explore the culture of each ethnic group through a range of activities, such as visiting tribal villages, observing daily life, traditional dress, occupations, and farming practices. There are also demonstrations of local handicrafts, including weaving, embroidery, and traditional handmade products that reflect local wisdom.

 

Interesting activities available here include trekking, buffalo-ox-cart rides, village sightseeing, and relaxing in nature through homestay accommodation and camping grounds. Getting There From Chiang Rai city, take Phahonyothin Road (Highway No. 1) toward Mae Sai, then turn into Nang Lae Subdistrict. The trip takes around 20–30 minutes, covering a distance of approximately 15 kilometers. The site can be reached by private car or local public transport.
