Wat Khao Din is located in Khao Din Subdistrict, Bang Pakong District, Chachoengsao Province. It is a distinctive temple set on the only small hill in Bang Pakong District, approximately 500 meters from the Bangkok–Pattaya Motorway. The temple grounds cover a total area of 31 rai, 2 ngan, and 12 square wah, including the surrounding hillside. The atmosphere is peaceful and shaded by large trees and natural rock formations, with walking paths leading up to the summit where visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area.

The temple was officially established in B.E. 2470 (1927) under the Sangha Administration Act R.S. 121 and received royal permission for the consecrated boundary (Visungkhamsima) in B.E. 2479 (1936), confirming its legal and ecclesiastical status. The ordination hall measures 7 meters wide and 20 meters long. Inside, the principal Buddha image is in the Mara-Vijaya posture, accompanied by several important replica Buddha images, including replicas of Luang Pho Phutthasothon, Luang Pho Phet, Luang Pho To, Phra Phuttha Chinnarat, and Somdet Phra Samana Kodom Phuttha Anek Mongkhon. These images reflect the deep devotion connected to revered Buddha images across Thailand.

The most prominent landmark of the temple is the Phra Maha That Chedi commemorating the 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary. Construction began in B.E. 2540 (1997), and the royal name was granted on May 28, B.E. 2546 (2003). The chedi stands 39 meters tall in a bell-shaped design and is located on the hilltop. Visitors can access it via three Naga stairways. The interior consists of three levels used for religious activities and also serves as an important viewpoint overlooking Bang Pakong.

Another historically valuable structure is the square-shaped ancient pavilion measuring 3.25 × 3.25 meters and 4.50 meters in height. Estimated to be around 200 years old, it was registered as a historic site by the Fine Arts Department in B.E. 2533 (1990). Although the original builder is unknown, it stands as significant historical evidence of early settlement in the area. The temple also features a memorial site dedicated to King Taksin the Great, commemorating his military encampment in the region and honoring his role in restoring Thai independence.

Getting There Visitors traveling by private car from Bangkok can take Highway No. 7 (Bangkok–Pattaya Motorway), which takes approximately 1 hour. From the Bang Pakong exit, turn into Khao Din Subdistrict and continue about 500 meters to reach the temple. Parking is available at the foot of the hill. Public transportation options include vans or buses from Chachoengsao to Bang Pakong, followed by a local taxi or motorcycle taxi.
