Knowledge Center of Chachoengsao (KCC) is a modern learning space that completely redefines the traditional concept of a “library.” It is not merely a place to read books, but a space for inspiration, creativity, and connection among people of all ages. Located at 47/2 Narakrit Road, Na Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chachoengsao Province, right in the heart of the city, KCC is easily accessible by both private vehicles and public transportation. The center officially opened on July 7, 2014, through collaboration between Chachoengsao Municipality and TK Park (Thailand Knowledge Park), with the goal of creating a high-quality learning hub for local residents and nearby communities.

 

The core concept of KCC is to make “learning enjoyable.” The space is designed to be modern, open, and welcoming for visitors of all ages. Inside, the center is divided into nine distinct learning zones, ranging from a vibrant children’s library filled with picture books and developmental activities to multimedia and IT zones that support modern digital learning. The layout is intentionally fluid, allowing visitors to move comfortably from one area to another. With something interesting in every corner, it is easy to spend several hours here without feeling bored.

 

One of the most popular zones is the “Children’s Library,” designed with a warm and colorful atmosphere that is safe and inviting for young children. Carefully selected picture books, storybooks, and learning materials are organized according to age groups to cultivate a love of reading from an early age. In addition to reading, children can participate in activities such as storytelling sessions, art workshops, and creative play that enhance both imagination and social skills.

 

The Learning Park and “Dream Square” zones provide opportunities for children and youth to engage in hands-on activities. These include basic science experiments, craft-making, and seasonal workshops. Learning here goes beyond reading; it emphasizes practical experience, encouraging creativity and systematic problem-solving skills.

 

The Music Library reflects the diversity of KCC’s offerings. Visitors who are passionate about music can explore music-related media, sheet music, and various creative resources across different genres. Meanwhile, the Multimedia Zone and IT Library support modern learning through digital tools, online research, and the development of essential digital skills required in today’s world.

 

Another major highlight is the “Chachoengsao City History Hall,” also known as the “Our Home” zone. This area takes visitors on a journey through the city’s past, from traditional ways of life and local culture to urban development and the province’s evolving role in modern economic and social contexts. It offers insight into the community’s roots and emphasizes the importance of preserving local heritage while embracing progress.

 

Beyond its rich learning resources, KCC regularly organizes workshops, rotating exhibitions, and creative seasonal activities. As a result, each visit offers something new. Regular visitors often discover fresh themes and perspectives every time. The overall atmosphere is modern yet relaxing, making it suitable not only for learning but also for quiet reading or working throughout the day.

 

Getting There The Knowledge Center of Chachoengsao is centrally located on Narakrit Road, near the City Pillar Shrine and important government offices. It is easily accessible by private car, with parking available nearby, or by local public transportation that operates throughout the city. The distance from Bangkok is approximately 80 kilometers, taking about 1 – 1.5 hours by car.
