Silverlake Vineyard is one of the most famous agro-tourism attractions in Chonburi Province. With over 1,200 rai of land surrounded by mountains and a large reservoir, the atmosphere here is serene and romantic, offering something entirely different from the bustling Pattaya beaches or the nearby islands. At sunset, the golden light reflecting off the water and vineyard fields creates one of the most beautiful views in Eastern Thailand.

The vineyard was established in 2002 by actress Supansa Nuangpirom and businessman Surachai Tangjaitrong. Inspired by vineyards abroad, they envisioned creating a destination that combines agriculture with art and music, offering visitors a complete experience. Silverlake is not just a vineyard—it has become a landmark of romance, with European-style architecture, picturesque corners, and festivals such as the Silverlake Music Festival, which once drew artists and audiences from around the world.

Wine production at Silverlake is unique, using Italian technology combined with a variety of grape strains, including Shiraz, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. This results in wines that are smooth, flavorful, and distinctive. Beyond wine, the vineyard produces a wide range of products such as fresh grape juice, grape jam, grape preserves, and souvenirs that many visitors take home.

Located in Moo 7, Najomtien Subdistrict, Sattahip District, Chonburi Province, the vineyard is just 6 kilometers from Wat Yansangwararam and right next to Khao Chi Chan (the Buddha Mountain). This makes it convenient for day trips. The landscape is made even more special in the evening, when the sun slowly sets behind the mountains, bathing the scenery in golden light.

There are plenty of activities for visitors to enjoy. Walking around and taking photos is popular, as some areas of the vineyard are free to enter. Beautiful photo spots include the vineyard fields, European-style buildings, archways, and the reservoir’s edge. For a deeper experience, tram tours are available to take visitors through different parts of the vineyard, complete with explanations of grape cultivation and winemaking processes. Some packages even include wine and grape juice tasting.

Sampling vineyard products is another highlight not to be missed. From fresh grape juice and jams to traditional Thai-style grape snacks and locally produced wine, the flavors reflect the freshness and uniqueness of Silverlake. For those who prefer to relax, there are restaurants and cafés at the vineyard’s entrance, such as Silverlake Wine & Grill, where visitors can enjoy Thai and international dishes alongside drinks made with vineyard ingredients—all with stunning views of the vineyard and surrounding mountains.

Adventure seekers can rent ATVs to explore the vineyard grounds, adding excitement to the trip. Silverlake has also hosted major events such as the Silverlake Music Festival and continues to hold agricultural fairs and art festivals throughout the year, ensuring every visit offers something unique.

Popular photo spots include the iconic orange-red European-style buildings, seasonal flower gardens, vine-covered archways by the reservoir, hillside sunset viewpoints, and carefully crafted sculptures and fountains. These make Silverlake a must-visit landmark for both Thai and international tourists.

Nearby attractions worth visiting include Khao Chi Chan, home to the world’s largest Buddha engraving on a cliff face; Wat Yansangwararam, a temple with beautiful architecture and a peaceful atmosphere; and Swiss Sheep Farm, a family-friendly destination. These spots make a trip to Silverlake more well-rounded.

The vineyard’s strengths include its romantic atmosphere, abundance of photo spots, diverse activities such as tram tours and wine tasting, and high-quality souvenir products. However, there are some considerations—certain vineyard areas are off-limits, some wines are expensive, weekends and holidays can be crowded, and the rainy season may affect certain activities.

Getting to Silverlake is convenient. From Bangkok, take Sukhumvit Road, with travel time around 2.5 to 3 hours. From Pattaya, it’s only a 20–30 minute drive. For those without private transportation, taxis, rental cars, and half-day tours from Pattaya are available.
