Wat Ampawan in Phrom Buri Subdistrict, Wat Amphan is situated along Highway No. 36 at the 130-kilometer mark. The temple is renowned as a center for Vipassana meditation practice, with Phra Ratchasuttijanmongkol (Luang Por Charan Thitathammo) serving as the abbot.
Getting There For public transport from Bangkok, take the Bangkok-Sing Buri or Bangkok-Wat Sing District bus and get off at the entrance to Wat Amphan. From there, take a motorcycle taxi to the temple.
Alternatively, if traveling from Mueang Sing Buri District, you can take a Songthaew (shared pickup truck) on the Sing Buri-Wat Trachu route from the bus terminal in town and get off right in front of the temple.
