Tai Pikul Palace (The Old Palace) Khun Khlon, Phra Phuttha Bat, Saraburi. King Srongtum built this palace in order to be his own accommodation during his trip to worship Phrabuddhabat.
The former one had only the wall and foundation left. Then, in the reign of King Rama V, the King ordered to build a palace replacing the old debris.
The old debris was built by roller and wood but all are decayed. From the excavation of the Fine Arts Department, there are many brick work buildings.
The new building is wider than the old one. Moreover, clayed drain since the Ayudhaya reign was also found laid from Thongdaeng Pond for around 1 kilometer.
